I got one big piece of news: we're moving into our new house next Tuesday. Yes, we've finally sealed the deal and found the one. Well, in this kind of economy, we're not buying. It's just a rental situation. But boy, the house is perfect and it's fully furnished. I mean it's really fully furnished, including all the crystal glasses and bath towels. I'll finally get to grow all kinds of herbs, fruits and flowers. The kitchen is spacious and super bright and cozy. I can soon make some real VeganMoFo entries. The best feature of this house is the back yard, which borders a golf course so we enjoy a breath-taking view and the constant intercoastal breeze from the nearby river. I'm really excited about the move. Now I just have to do a thorough search in my recipe collection to plan some meals.
Enough about the moving, I had a brunch at Manatee Cafe after we met with our landlords this morning. I remembered to take a photo of the scrambled tofu I really enjoyed there. I had a side salad with an awesome basil dressing and two pieces of whole wheat toast. So this is my plate below.
So, from next Tuesday on, I can finally cook something more elaborate AT HOME, and end our 6-week on-the-road life. Yay!
